Question:

What is Guitar Rehab?

 Answer:

Our Guitar Rehab program is a bit like any rehab, your guitar has an issue or something that just isn’t working for you, so we take care of the issue and on top of taking care of the issue we use the remainder of the funds along with our knowledge and experience taking into account your playing style and type of music interests to give you a little Chaos in the form of specific mods chosen by Chaos to fit your playing style. That's about it, the only thing to do now is:

King Midas

What started as a kit guitar and the dream of a Jem turned into something that plays and sounds better than anything you can imagine, and the owner still had a hand in the project. We received the guitar mostly whole but ready for rehab! We gave it our famous speed neck conversion and tap kill switch along with some completely custom wiring including a varitone circuit and split coils. We reshaped the tremolo cavity for the correct fit, added our CKK spring silencer set up, and a brand-new set of Guitarheads Hexbucker pickups. Finally, we completely leveled the fretboard, polished the frets and wet sanded, and buffed the entire guitar to bring the shine back.

Gibder/Fenson?

What started as an Epiphone LP from Andy at Tasty Licks Music has become a very cool and very versatile guitar for him. He told us some of his influences and the type of music he was planning of using it for and some of those bands were Gibson sound heavy and others were very Fender sound oriented so…what better mod than a duel tone using the typical Fender tone and the other using the typical Gibson tone. We also gave him the option to split the neck pick up to a single coil to give it even more of that fender umph for leads and maybe even a little twang. We used Guitarheads gold rush pickups and changed all the other hardware over to black to nicely accent the matte red body. We also gave Andy a few other Chaos mods that will remain a trade secret unless, of course, you buy a Chaos guitar!

Slick Black… Bass

This one came to us for a complete rebuild but we put it in our rehab program because it just made more sense and allowed us to save the client a little money. Chaos is always a fan of that slick black look and this one has it, the fat pole pickups give it a nice rich sound that bass should have. this was a fun one to do and, per our client’s request, we gave it the “Born of Chaos” brand on the headstock.
